Constructed in 1938, the timber bridge over Tchanning Creek on Roma-Condamine Road had reached its end of life and required replacement.

Needing quality steel work from a reliable partner, Pentacon who had been contracted to Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads, engaged Bendworx to manufacture the necessary steel liners for the foundations of the new bridge located between Roma and Dalby.

True to our proud history of manufacturing the highest quality steel works, Bendworx fabricated 20mm thick steel in lengths up to 21 meters with 40mm thick driving shoes, design requirements also meant adding 10mm shear rings for increased performance.

Bendworx carried out all work on the liner supply project at our Viking Drive facility, fully compliant with ISO 9001 and MRTS64.
